I'm In
Take the Pledge

Why Talking About this in K-8 is so Important

An important component of the “I’m In” campaign is getting the water conservation messages to the youth. The primary target age for children for the “I’m In” are between the ages of Kindergarten through eighth grade. Water conservation is an easy concept for children to comprehend.

The main messages to send to school age children are simple water cycle information and recommendations for behavior changes. Educators are an important tool to get these water conservation messages to the students. These messages can be delivered through lesson plans, classroom activities and interactive games.
